Starfish Beach & Bird Island Day Trip

Day Trip Details

We will gather at the dock of Hotel Paraíso Caribeño at the scheduled time. From there, we will board a boat that will take us to experience two stunning sites along Panama's northern coast. Are you ready for an unforgettable journey?

Our adventure begins as we glide over translucent waters heading towards Bird Island (Pájaros Island), a haven for a variety of tropical birds. The boat ride will last about 45 minutes, during which you can appreciate the scenic coastline and beaches of Colón Island—ideal for memorable photos. To keep cool, we will offer a choice of beer or water.

Upon arriving at the island, we will be greeted by an abundance of native and migratory bird species, including pelicans, frigatebirds, gannets, and the striking red-billed tropicbird known for its elongated tail feathers. This area also features massive coral reefs, crystal-clear waters, and lush flora that captivates all its visitors.

After spending around half an hour on Bird Island, we will continue our journey to Starfish Beach (Playa Estrella), located in the northwest region of Colón Island. In this charming locale filled with starfish, you'll have about 5 hours of leisure time to swim or try snorkeling to observe the fascinating marine life. When hunger strikes, you can savor a meal at the beachside bars at your own pace.

After a fulfilling day, we will make our way back with a 45-minute boat ride to the initial dock in Bocas del Toro, concluding our trip roughly 7 hours after our departure.
