Jericoacoara Day Trip & Sunset at the Amâncio Dunes

Embark on a day trip to Jericoacoara and experience one of the hidden gems of Ceará. You will be enchanted by its lagoons, stunning golden dunes, and tranquil atmosphere right from the beginning. The day will culminate in a breathtaking sunset over Amâncio Lagoon, a true feast for the eyes.

Trip Overview

The adventure kicks off early in the morning when we collect you from your Fortaleza hotel and embark on a 4.5-hour drive to Jericoacoara National Park. Upon arrival, you will switch to a jardineira, a robust off-road vehicle designed to navigate the dunes, setting the stage for an exciting journey.

Your first destination will be the Paradise Lagoon, a stunning locale known for its clear turquoise waters and pristine white sands. You will have around 2 hours to unwind on floating hammocks and take a refreshing swim. This is also the perfect opportunity to enjoy lunch at a nearby restaurant featuring panoramic views of the lagoon.

Post-lunch, we will progress towards Buraco Azul, a striking gorgeously blue lagoon, where you can take a refreshing dip if you wish.

Our journey will then lead us to Árvore da Preguiça (Tree Sloth), a uniquely shaped tree that has been sculpted by the wind, providing an excellent spot for memorable photographs. Following this, we will explore the charming town of Jericoacoara, known for its sandy streets and laid-back vibe.

To conclude this remarkable day, we will ascend the dunes of Amâncio. At the summit, you will be treated to the awe-inspiring sight of the sunset over Amâncio Lagoon, a vibrant display of colors that provides a fitting conclusion to your excursion.

Finally, we will journey back to Fortaleza, where you can expect to arrive at your hotel approximately 23.5 hours after the initial pickup.
