Details of the Day Trip

On the day of your adventure, we will meet at a predetermined location and embark on a journey through some of the most scenic villages found within the Somiedo Natural Park. Are you ready to encounter some of the most breathtaking landscapes in Spain? We assure you, it will be an experience you'll cherish!

Our initial destination is Alto de la Farrapona, from where we will set off on a picturesque walk in this stunning environment. For about an hour, we will explore one of the area's best-kept secrets, Cave Lake, guiding you through some of the most tranquil spots. Following this, a visit to the Somiedo Ecomuseum will provide insights into the local rural lifestyle and cultural traditions.

Subsequently, we will proceed to Pola de Somiedo. This village is noted in the writings of the English explorer Joseph Townsend from his work A Journey Through Spain in the Time of Charles III, highlighting its significance. Here, you will have some leisure time for lunch and the chance to wander through the delightful town at your own rhythm.

Our final stop will take us to Santa María del Puerto, a charming village nestled within the Cantabrian Mountains. The breathtaking scenery here is bound to leave a lasting impression!

As our day comes to a close, we will return to our vehicle and make our way back to the original meeting spot, arriving approximately 10 to 11 hours after our departure.
