Tour Overview

The adventure begins at the agreed-upon time at Kiriakos Tziblakis. After a short introduction and ensuring the group is ready, we will proceed alongside the convent as we enter one of the most iconic historic structures found within Naxos’s old town.

Our first stop will be the majestic Venetian Castle of Naxos, accessed via its southern gate, affectionately called Paraporti. We will meander through charming, flower-adorned alleyways, taking in the remarkable architectural elements that whisper tales of a captivating medieval heritage. It's interesting to note that this fortress was constructed by the Venetians during the 13th century, following the Fourth Crusade.

We will continue our journey through the cloister and academy of the Ursuline nuns, where there will be a pause to relish the breathtaking views over Naxos town and the stunning landscape beyond.

Our next stop will be the "1739" café, perfectly located on the terrace of the former dormitories of the Ursuline nuns, which offers one of the most stunning vistas in the region. From this vantage point, we’ll appreciate the array of whitewashed buildings, the harbor’s activity, and the Aegean Sea extending endlessly toward the horizon.

The tour concludes as we return to our starting location after 2 hours of discovery.
