Seoraksan National Park Day Trip
Descripción
This day excursion to Seoraksan from Seoul invites you to discover one of South Korea's most stunning national parks. You have the option to visit either Naksansa Temple or take a trip to Nami Island—the decision rests with you!
Options for the Day Trip
When making your reservation, you can select from two options based on your preferred destinations. You can opt to explore Seoraksan alongside Naksansa Temple or choose Nami Island. Each option includes bus transportation, an English-speaking guide, as well as admission fees.
Here’s a brief overview of each tour choice:
Seoraksan National Park & Naksansa Temple Day Excursion (10.5 Hours)
For this itinerary, we’ll depart from your chosen meeting location at the specified time. After a scenic 3-hour trip, we will reach Seoraksan National Park. Upon arrival, the mesmerizing colors of nature will captivate you.
During our 3-hour exploration, we’ll hike the majestic mountains. Did you know that Seoraksan is recognized as one of South Korea's tallest mountains? The park features numerous trails and elevated terrain that offers a landscape rich in beauty. After our hike, you’ll have time to wander and enjoy the park autonomously.
Among the optional experiences, you may choose to ride the cable car to Gwongeumseong Fortress, sitting 700 m (2,296 ft) above sea level. The ten-minute journey provides stunning views of famous landmarks, including Ulsanbawi Peak and the unique Rock Formations of Manmulsang. Take the chance to savor local dishes at your convenience during this time.
Rejuvenated, we'll set off for Naksansa Temple, which dates back over 1,300 years. Here, we'll appreciate the striking seven-story Stone Tower and the Uisangdae Pavilion, where meditation was practiced by the Uisang ambassador. A prominent Buddhist stone statue known as Haesugwaneumsang, towering 16 m (52 ft), will also be on display.
After our tour of the temple area, we’ll return to the meeting point in Seoul.
Spring Tour: if you visit in spring, be prepared to admire the cherry blossom-lined path leading to Naksansa Temple. Note that the schedule and durations at each site may vary based on circumstances.
Seoraksan + Nami Island Day Excursion (12-14 hours)
This itinerary follows the same path as the previous option for the first half of the day.
After lunchtime, we’ll make our way to Nami Island, which is a mere 2 hours from Seoraksan. We will board a ferry that crosses the Bukhan River and takes only five minutes to reach this picturesque destination.
Once we arrive on the crescent-shaped island, you’ll have approximately 2.5 hours of leisure time to explore as you wish. We recommend meandering through the delightful paths adorned with vibrant trees. This enchanting locale has frequently served as a backdrop for South Korea’s romantic tales, providing the perfect opportunity to unwind.
After your exploration, we’ll gather once more for our return to the starting point.
Seoraksan Seasonal Day Excursion (12-13 hours)
Selecting this alternative means you’ll enjoy the same Seoraksan day excursion as previously outlined, with no visits to Naksansa Temple or Nami Island. Instead, our focus will center on immersing ourselves in the breathtaking autumn landscapes of Seoraksan National Park.
We will traverse the mountain paths while absorbing the ochre, orange, and scarlet hues of the Seoraksan forests, showcasing their remarkable splendor during the fall season.
You can opt for the cable car to Gwongeumseong Fortress and sample South Korean cuisine as you please during your time in the park.
After relishing the fall scenery at Seoraksan, we will return to the designated pickup spots in Seoul.
