Coffee and Tropical Fruit Farm Exploration

At the scheduled time, we will gather at Diseminado Rio Jate Pol, located a mere 5 km from the heart of La Herradura. Here, our adventure into the coffee and tropical fruit farm will commence.

Our journey begins at the farmhouse, which boasts a rich history spanning 300 years. During this time, we will delve into the heritage of the farm before embarking on a guided stroll through the plantations.

As we navigate through the fields, we'll encounter a variety of plants including custard apples, avocados, red bananas, macadamia nuts, mangos, pitayas, and passion fruit. The knowledgeable guide will provide insights into the ideal climatic conditions of the region that support these crops and discuss the care practices for the plants. We will also explore the significance of sugar cane cultivation in Almuñécar.

Following this, we will make our way to the one and only coffee plantation in Europe. Should we be fortunate, we might encounter various wildlife, such as chameleons, partridges, mountain goats, and eagles during our tour of the farm! To conclude our experience, we will indulge in a delightful fruit tasting.

After approximately 1.5 hours of exploration, our visit to the La Herradura farm will draw to a close. If desired, you will have the opportunity to pick and purchase fruit directly from the tree to take home!
