Your day begins with a pick-up from Avenida Isidro Ayora Cueva at 3 am, followed by a scenic four and a half hour drive in a minibus towards the breathtaking Chimborazo Volcano!

Reaching an impressive height of 20,000 feet, the Chimborazo is not only Ecuador's highest peak but also boasts some of the country's most picturesque vistas. The volcano's snow-capped summit, coupled with its vibrant wildlife, makes this area a top destination for nature enthusiasts.

Upon arriving at the first refuge, we will commence our ascent to the Chimborazo crater. As we hike, you will have the chance to encounter remarkable llamas, alpacas, and vicuñas up close. Notice how the environment transforms, becoming increasingly arid and snowy as we gain elevation. We will pause at the second refuge, allowing you to capture stunning photographs of the extraordinary landscapes that surround you.

After our descent from the Chimborazo, we will proceed to the nearby Colta Lagoon, which presents a captivating Andean backdrop. While exploring this area, we will discuss the indigenous gatherings held along its shores. To complete our day, we will stop at the Balbanera Church, the oldest Catholic church in Ecuador, providing an opportunity to stroll around and appreciate its history.

Following lunch, we will head back to Guayaquil, with an expected return to hotels by 3 pm.
