After approximately two hours on the road, we will arrive at Ushaiqer, a recognized World Heritage Site nestled at the base of a striking red mountain that contributes significantly to its historical importance. Upon our arrival, we will embark on a leisurely walk through the village streets, uncovering fascinating stories from its past. Did you know this village has been thriving for over a thousand years?

Ushaiqer has historically served as a waypoint for pilgrims heading to Mecca from Kuwait, thanks to its abundant freshwater springs and vast olive and palm groves, providing essential relief from the intense desert heat.

During our walk around Ushaiqer, we will navigate its winding alleyways, taking in the sights of its traditional Najdi-style homes. The village is also adorned with grand palaces and historic mosques, each offering a glimpse into its rich architectural heritage.

As a highlight of our visit, we will step inside the Al Salem Museum, a community-run establishment that proudly displays the village's local heritage, showcasing ancient tools, fine embroidery, traditional garments, jewelry, and weaponry.

Upon concluding our exploration of Ushaiqer, we will make a stop for a scenic picnic lunch amidst the desert landscape—a unique setting for a delightful meal.
