2-Day Hiking Adventure on Mount Fitz Roy

Day 1: From El Chaltén to Poincenot

Your adventure commences at Avenida San Martín in El Chaltén, where we'll depart by minibus to the El Pilar area, the starting point of your self-guided trek through Mount Fitz Roy.

After approximately an hour of walking, you'll arrive at the Piedras Blancas Glacier viewpoint. Take a moment to soak in the stunning scenery. The trail continues alongside the Río Blanco river, ascending towards the awe-inspiring Laguna de los Tres. Approximately two hours later, you will triumphantly reach your goal!

Once you've taken a well-deserved break, it's time to head to the campsite for dinner and a peaceful night’s rest. You've successfully completed the first leg of your journey!

Day 2: Return from Poincenot to El Chaltén

Start your day with breakfast at the base camp to fuel you for the return hike.

Following breakfast, you’ll embark on your journey back to El Chaltén, where we’ll be ready to greet you. You can expect to arrive around 5 pm.

Lodging Details

This hiking experience includes 1 night’s stay in double tents at Poincenot Camp. Dinner will be provided on the first evening, along with breakfast on the morning of the second day. An optional lunch package can also be arranged for both days of the hike.

Excluded Admission

Please note that this activity does not cover the entry fee to the northern section of Los Glaciares National Park in El Chaltén. Detailed instructions for purchasing these tickets will be included in your voucher.

20 minutes before the indicated time, you must be at the following point: Receptivo Chaltén office, located at: Av. San Martín 55, El Chaltén, Santa Cruz, Argentina. Please be Punctual.

If you have booked the self-catering option, please remember to bring lunch for the two days of trekking.

Admission Not Included

This activity does not include admission to the Northern area of Los Glaciares National Park in El Chaltén.

These are the fares: 30000ARS per person for non-nationals (with a 50% discount if you buy a ticket for 2 days) and 10000ARS per person for Argentinians (with a 50% discount if you buy a ticket for 2 days).
