Gollizno Hike
Description
This hike, known as the Gollizno Route Trail, offers the opportunity to discover a remarkable natural landscape in the province of Granada, rich in history.
Gollizno Hike
At the scheduled time, we'll meet at Plaza del Profesor Fontboté. Here, we will board a minibus and drive for approximately 20 minutes to our destination.
Upon arrival, we'll enter the Tajos de la Hoz, a natural gorge formed by the persistent flow of water. We will cross a small asphalt road leading to the Velillos River, where we can enjoy a scenic walk through the striking natural surroundings, following part of the path along the river.
At this juncture, we will traverse a suspension bridge, offering stunning views of the area. We will then proceed along the route toward Moclín, home to one of the most noteworthy defensive structures from the Nasrid era, where we can admire the impressive Castle of Moclín.
After crossing the suspension bridge and the footbridges over the Velillos River, we will reach the Fuente de Corcuela. Nearby, we will have the chance to view remarkable cave paintings that date back thousands of years.
Finally, we will return to the vehicle for our journey back to the starting point in Granada, arriving around 1 pm.

Important Info
Boots must be worn during the walk. Trainers are not suitable, as the snowshoe strap rests directly on the ankle area and, without the protection of a boot, can cause discomfort or even injury. If you do not have boots, you can contact the local team to hire them.
We also recommend that you bring a rucksack with water and something to eat in case you need to refuel. During the autumn and winter months, it's advisable to wear warm clothing and gloves.
