Beginner's Rafting Down Samaná River

Are you ready for a day packed with thrilling experiences in Antioquia? Discover the art of rafting on the Samaná River while taking in breathtaking views of the Colombian jungle.

Description

Your adventure begins with a pickup at your Medellin hotel, as we set out towards San Luis in the beautiful Antioquia region.

Upon arrival at the city’s central park, we will switch to an off-road vehicle to make our way to the lush forest. Here you’ll embark on a captivating hike through a dramatic canyon, lasting between 40 minutes and an hour.

The hike will lead us to a scenic riverside spot, setting the stage for the excitement of rafting on the Samaná River. Equipped with safety vests and helmets, we will take on the exhilarating rapids aboard an inflatable raft.

For approximately 3 to 4 hours, we’ll navigate a distance of 2.5 kilometers (1.5 miles) through exhilarating waves, powerful whirlpools, and challenging rapids — prepare for an adventure full of excitement!

Your rafting journey will wrap up at a serene location, where we will enjoy a delicious picnic lunch featuring sausages and a variety of fresh, locally sourced fruits.

Post-lunch, we'll return to San Luis via off-road vehicle. After a quick transportation change, we’ll head back to Medellin, concluding our day of adventure and dropping you off at your hotel approximately 9 hours after departure.

Schedules

• Tour with pickup from Medellin: our pickup takes place at your hotel in Medellin at 8:30 am
• Tour from San Luis: arrive at the meeting point in San Luis at 7 am, 8 am, 9 am, 10 am, or 11 am
