Good morning! Are you ready to observe birds in the Panamanian tropical jungle? We'll commence the experience by picking you up from your hotel in Panama City and embarking on a journey of 31 mi (50 km) toward Gamboa.

Upon arrival in this quaint town, nestled amidst the lush greenery of Soberanía National Park, we'll set out on one of the most renowned trails in Central America, the Camino del Oleoducto, also known as Pipeline Road.

As we hike, you'll learn how these old pipelines were originally constructed as part of the Panama Canal, now intertwined with nature, showcasing its incredible ability to reclaim the land.

During our 4-hour hike, we'll explore the treetops and seek out avian wonders such as the white-tailed trogon and the whooping motmot. With a bit of luck, you might even catch a glimpse of the keel-billed toucan or the rainbow-billed toucan, particularly famous for their vibrant plumage.

As we navigate through the dense flora, we'll find ourselves sheltered under the canopy of tropical trees like the mountain almond and the wild cashew. The landscape will also feature ferns, lianas, and bromeliads, which dangle gracefully like threads from an ancient quilt.

After completing our hike and immersing ourselves in the avian life of Gamboa, we’ll return to Panama City, concluding the day with a drop-off back at your hotel, wrapping up a full 6-hour experience.
