Activity Overview

Join us at the designated time along the shores of the Juramento River for an exhilarating rafting journey sure to elevate your adrenaline. Are you prepared to conquer the rapids?

Your adventure will commence with a brief safety orientation at a riverside camp. After the introduction, you will don protective helmets and life jackets before setting out to experience the river’s exciting stretches. This rafting expedition spans about 2 hours, during which you’ll encounter 10 Class III rapids and 5 Class II rapids, creating unforgettable memories along the way!

Your route will take you through the breathtaking Juramento River canyon, where ancient rocks dating back over 65 million years are rich with prehistoric fossils. The thrilling 12-kilometer (7.5 miles) descent concludes at a picturesque site known as Los Lapachos. Following this adrenaline-filled experience, we’ll return to the camp, allowing you to share your moments and unwind after the adventure.

After approximately 3.5 hours of excitement, the journey will wrap up back at the meeting point.

Available Options

When making your reservation, you can select from the following options:

Tour without transfer: Partake in the rafting experience as outlined above.
Tour without transfer and with meal: This choice includes the rafting along with a satisfying buffet barbecue featuring a variety of meats and salads, ideal for refueling.
Tour with transfer and meal: For those without private transport, we provide transportation from Salta to the riverside base, as well as a hearty buffet barbecue post-rafting.

Essential Information

Please be aware that if you opt for any packages that do not include transfers, the meeting point is about a 2-hour drive from the heart of Salta. We recommend securing your own vehicle for reaching the meeting location and enjoying the experience.

Only some areas are accessible. Accessible toilets. An accompanying person is required. This must be indicated in the reservation.

Informations importantes

On the day of the activity, we'll meet at the Salta Rafting base, located at RP47 Km 34, A4400 Coronel Moldes, Salta, Argentina. You can check the exact meeting point at the following Google Maps link: https://goo.gl/maps/cRK65TosShB2. We recommend arriving at the meeting point at least 15 minutes before the start of the tour.

Upon arrival, you'll need to register with Donnovan.

We recommend bringing swimwear, comfortable footwear, warm clothing depending on the season, sunglasses, a hat or cap, a towel, and dry clothes to change into after the activity.

How to Get There?

To reach the meeting point, you'll need your own car, as the base is located approximately 2 hours from downtown Salta.

You will need to take Route 68 toward Coronel Moldes. Continue along Route 47, following the shoreline of the Cabra Corral Dam. At the end of the dam, a dirt road of approximately 8 kilometers (5 miles) begins and will take you directly to the base.

Tour With Transfer

If you have selected the option that includes transfer from Salta, we will contact you to arrange a central meeting point. In this case, the activity will begin at 8 am.
