Immerse yourself in the rich traditions and customs of Bolivia as you embark on a journey to explore an ancient civilization from the Oronta region on our day trip that departs from Sucre to visit a Yampara community.

Day Trip to the Yampara Community

Your adventure starts at 8 am, when we will collect you from your accommodation in Sucre for a scenic drive lasting approximately 90 minutes.

During this excursion, we will engage with a Yampara community, one of the oldest Indigenous Peoples on the South American continent. You will gain insights into their traditions, which have been preserved over centuries, and experience how they uphold vital cultural values of Bolivia in modern times.

As we explore the area, you'll encounter traditional adobe houses and interact with the locals, providing a unique opportunity to understand their lifestyle and customs. Additionally, you will hear captivating legends and tales that enrich this destination’s history.

The journey will also take us to a chichería, the local bars typical of these communities. Here, you can admire the craftsmanship of the Yampara people through their beautifully woven textiles. You will observe women at work creating vibrant fabrics and discover how they utilize natural ingredients for making traditional medicines.

As our visit to the Yampara community concludes, we will proceed back to Sucre, ensuring you return to your hotel by around 2 pm.
