Our adventure begins at 8 am, as we gather at your hotel in Armenia for a scenic drive lasting approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes to a working agricultural farm.

Upon arrival, we will delve into the sugar cane fields where the renowned panela is sourced. This natural sweetener graces many beloved Colombian drinks and desserts, such as aguapanela, guarapo, and chicha.

Our exploration will focus on the panela-making process, which begins with crushing the cane using traditional mills known as trapiches. We will witness how the sugar cane is transformed into solid blocks of panela as farm workers guide us through each detailed step.

Once we gain insight into this essential culinary ingredient, our next stop will be a local nature park. Here, you can unwind on a leisurely hike and enjoy some personal time for lunch and to explore the beautiful surroundings.

We will return to your hotel by 4 pm.
