Excursion to La Virginia & El Guásimo

The journey commences at 7 am when we will collect you from your accommodation in Armenia and set off towards the Risaralda region. After a drive lasting approximately an hour and a half, we will reach the El Guásimo Natural Reserve, located in the municipality of La Virginia.

Upon arrival, we will embark on a three-hour trek through this stunning conservation area, notable for being the sole dry tropical forest found within the Andean region.

We will follow the picturesque Cauca River for an hour, moving through the vibrant greenery and marveling at the rich diversity of flora and fauna. This area is home to a variety of wildlife including monkeys, felines, rodents, armadillos, and sloths, among others.

As we progress along the trail, we will take a moment to enjoy a traditional lunch featuring a main dish paired with a drink.

Afterwards, we will visit La Virginia, a charming town situated at the confluence of the Cauca and Risaralda rivers. During our exploration of the area, we will observe its vast coffee plantations and delve into some of the local legends and customs.

To conclude the day, we will return to Armenia, dropping you off at your hotel around 2 pm.

Option without lunch
