2-Day Delphi and Meteora Trip
Description
Set off on a unique 2-day tour from Athens to Delphi and Meteora, significant historical sites in Greece.
Trip Details
Day 1
Begin your tour by boarding a comfortable coach from your hotel to Delphi, considered the “naval” of the world by the Greeks. Arrive around midday and visit the UNESCO World Heritage archaeological site, including the Temple of Apollo. Then, travel north, passing through Lamia and Trikala to reach Kalambaka, where you will spend the night.
Day 2
On the second day, wake up early to experience the landscape of Meteora, known for its towering sandstone pinnacles formed thirty million years ago. Visit two monasteries on these cliffs, typically Megalo Meteoro and St. Stephen’s Monastery, although substitutions may occur. After the guided tour, return to Athens with a stop at Thermopylae to see the Statue of King Leonidas. Arrival back in Athens is around 7 pm, with drop-off options at your hotel or in the city center.
