How to Access the Sanctuary of San Luca
To reach the Sanctuary of Our Lady of San Luca from Bologna's center, you have multiple options:
- For a panoramic view of the area, consider booking the San Luca Express tourist train.
- Alternatively, you can take bus line 20, which costs either 2EUR or 3EUR, transporting you from Piazza Malpighi to the Croce stop.
- If you wish to immerse yourself in the scenery while engaging in some exercise, walking the portico of San Luca is a fantastic option. The distance is 4.4 kilometers (2.73 miles), taking approximately 1 hour to complete.

Accessible only for folding chairs. Accessible toilets. An accompanying person is required. This must be indicated in the reservation.

On the day of the visit, we'll meet at the indicated time at the entrance of the Sanctuary of the Madonna of San Luca (Via di San Luca, 36, 40135 Bologna BO, Italy). We recommend arriving 15 minutes early.

- Wear comfortable shoes for the route and keep in mind that to enter sacred places, shoulders and knees must be covered.
- The tour runs regularly even if it rains. In case of bad weather, an adapted alternative will be offered, but no refunds will be given if you choose not to participate in the alternative option.
How to Reach the Sanctuary of San Luca?
You can reach the basilica on the San Luca Express or by bus, since both stop about 200 meters (650 feet) from the entrance. If you prefer, you may arrive by car and use the free parking located 500 meters (1600 feet) from the sanctuary.
