Peixe River Waterfalls Hiking Tour

At the agreed time, we'll meet at Fazenda Água Viva, a ranch located 35 kilometres (21 miles) from the centre of Bonito. Are you ready to walk? Let's discover the nature of Mato Grosso do Sul!

Accompanied by our guide, we'll start a 1.6 km (2.6 miles) hiking route along the banks of the Peixe River in search of its waterfalls. During the walk, we'll breathe fresh air and try to spot the animals that live in the area, such as macaws, toucans and monkeys.

Of course, between stops, you can take the opportunity to take a refreshing dip in the natural pools of the Peixe River waterfalls. Swimming, you'll see fish typical of the region, such as the Brycon and discover underwater caves!

After five hours of walking, we'll finish the hiking route at the starting point.

Tour Schedule

Fazenda Água Viva is open daily from 8 am to 5 pm. Once you have made your booking, we'll contact you to confirm the starting time of the hiking route. If you choose this option, the total duration of the activity will be 6 hours.

During the booking process, you can choose the option that includes pickup and drop-off from your hotel in Bonito.

HOW DOES IT WORK?

You will embark on a guided hiking experience through the scenic Peixe River waterfalls. The hiking trail is approximately 1.6 km long, enabling you to immerse yourself in the local flora and fauna. Look out for native wildlife like macaws and monkeys as you trek along the riverbank.

Included in this tour is the guidance of a knowledgeable expert who will enhance your experience by pointing out key natural sights and assisting you during the hike.

Swimming in the natural pools is also included, allowing for an invigorating break where you can cool off while appreciating the biodiversity of the area.

Not included are personal expenses, meals, or additional activities outside the scheduled tour.

For the meeting point, Fazenda Água Viva serves as the primary location where participants will convene before the hike begins. The ranch is conveniently located just 35 kilometres from central Bonito.
