Trip Overview

Your adventure will commence with a pick-up from your selected meeting location or hotel in Bucharest, leading us northward through the legendary Transylvanian forests.

The first destination will be the charming town of Sinaia, situated in Wallachia, where we'll explore the majestic Peles Castle. This remarkable structure once served as the summer residence for the Romanian royal family. Tour the elegantly adorned rooms, which reflect the style of the late 19th century, a time when construction was initiated under King Charles I.

Following this, our journey continues to the historic city of Bra?ov. During our approach, you'll gain insight into the city's rich history and notable landmarks. Upon arrival, you'll be granted 1.5 hours to wander through the picturesque historic center or enjoy a meal at one of the local eateries.

After your lunch break, we will proceed to Bran Castle. Once inside, we’ll provide you with helpful suggestions for your exploration. You'll delve into the story of Vlad III “the Impaler,” the legendary 15th-century figure who inspired Bram Stoker’s renowned novel Dracula. As you traverse its corridors, you'll uncover how this enigmatic persona has become deeply ingrained in the identity of Transylvania.

Upon completion of our visit to Bran Castle, we will commence our return journey to Bucharest, taking in the captivating views throughout the trip.

Ticket Information

It is important to note that admission fees are not included in the tour cost. We advise securing your tickets in advance due to their rapid sell-out, particularly during weekends and holidays.

We suggest booking your tickets a minimum of 7 days ahead, but not more than 30 days prior, as they are not available for purchase beyond this timeframe. Last-minute reservations may result in unavailable tickets for Peles Castle, in which case you might opt for a visit to Peli?or Castle instead.

Your booking confirmation will include all necessary details for ticket acquisition, including recommended time slots.

Be aware that even if tickets are obtained in advance, there will still be queues for entrance, and security protocols could cause short delays.

Possible Itinerary Adjustments

Please note that Peles Castle is not open for visitors on Mondays and Tuesdays throughout the year. If your tour occurs on one of these days, you will view the castle from outside, and additionally, an exhibition of medieval torture devices in Bran will be included.

The schedule may be adjusted depending on traffic conditions and seasonal festivities. If your visit falls during peak periods, longer wait times may be anticipated.

Keep in mind that Peles Castle will undergo general cleaning and maintenance on select dates from November to December 2026. If weather permits, you can still tour Peli?or Castle. You will have leisure time to stroll the grounds of Peles Castle as well.
