Immerse yourself in history by visiting the impressive Tsaravets Fortress, the former stronghold of Bulgarian royalty. Explore the ancient walls and chambers of the palace, and visit key religious sites like the Ascension Cathedral, while enjoying breathtaking views of Veliko Tarnovo. After gaining insights into Bulgarian history, you will have an hour of free time to enjoy a meal in Veliko Tarnovo (not included).

This day trip includes pickup and drop-off at the main hotels and hostels in downtown Bucharest. The local supplier will contact you before the tour to confirm the exact pickup time. Please be ready in the hotel lobby 10 minutes early.

If you do not have cash on the day of the trip, the local team will make a stop at an ATM where you can withdraw some money.
For admission and the guided tour of the Tsarevets Fortress and the Church of the Holy Trinity, each adult should bring 20EUR in cash to cover the cost of tickets. This will allow for faster entry and ensure a smoother experience.
