Description

Engage with the city renowned as the Pillar of Islam through our exclusive Bukhara private tour. This experience will allow you to explore the most significant areas of the city and choose sites that capture your curiosity, all while being guided by a personal expert tailored to your group.

Tour Overview

At the agreed time, we will gather at the Lyabi Hoyuz pond, from where our private tour of Bukhara will commence, showcasing one of the key cities in Uzbek heritage. You will have the freedom to decide spontaneously which landmarks to visit as we delve into the city’s history and architecture.

Our journey will begin at the Mausoleum of Ismail Samani, a landmark that signaled a pivotal moment in Central Asian architectural development. It is the final resting place of Amir Samani, the Samanid Empire's founder. Next, we will visit the Chashma-Ayub Mausoleum, a local sacred site known for its healing well waters.

As we progress, we will arrive at the Bolo Haouz Mosque, recognized as a World Heritage Site. Its columns are notable for being the tallest in the area. Just across the street lies the Ark of Bukhara, the ancient fortress that served as the emir’s residence.

We will continue our exploration by heading to the Poi Kalyan complex, which features a mosque, a functioning madrasa, and the striking Kalon Minaret, the tallest of its kind in Bukhara. Close by are the Ulugbek Madrasa, Bukhara’s oldest educational institution and a remnant of the Timurid era, alongside the Abdulaziz-Khan Madrasa, celebrated as the most exquisite of the city.

Following this, we will stop at the Maghoki Attori Mosque, the oldest mosque in Uzbekistan, originally constructed in the 9th century atop a former pagan temple.

The Lyab-i-Hauz, the heart of social interaction in Bukhara, will charm you with its vibrant atmosphere, complemented by the madrasas of Kukeldash and Nadir Divanbegi. Our final destination will be the Chor-Minor, a remarkable symbol of Bukhara, featuring its four distinctive blue-domed towers.

In conclusion, we will return to your accommodation, wrapping up our 5 to 6 hour exploration with fond farewells until the next adventure!
