Sella River Canoeing

Upon your arrival at our Activity Centre located in Las Rozas (Cangas de Onís), we will provide a comprehensive briefing and equip you with all the essential gear for your excursion along the Sella River. Our facilities are available for your convenience, featuring changing rooms, showers, and restrooms.

After your preparation, you are free to navigate the Sella River at your desired pace. Additionally, children under 12 can participate in a complimentary mini-golf activity within our sports and leisure facility!

At the conclusion of your experience, we will return you to the original meeting location.

Routes

Based on your fitness level and interests, you can select from the following routes, all originating from Las Rozas in Cangas de Onís:

4 km route: this route lasts between 1 and 2 hours and leads to Arriondas.
12 km route: taking approximately 3.5 hours, this route extends from Arriondas to Toraño.
19 km route: which lasts about 5 hours, traverses from Arriondas and Toraño to Llovio, close to the Sella’s mouth in the Ría de Ribadesella.

Equipment

We suggest donning comfortable attire, along with a hat or cap, and applying sunscreen, particularly during the summer months.

All necessary gear will be supplied by us, including canoes (available in 1, 2, or 3 seats), paddles, life jackets, and dry bags for your belongings. Depending on weather conditions, we may also provide wetsuits.

Important Information

It is essential that participants know how to swim in order to join this activity.
