Guided Tour Overview

Commencing from your hotel or a designated pickup location at the scheduled time, our journey will begin as we cruise along Cartagena de Indias’ coastline, offering stunning vistas of the bay and its volcanic sand shores.

Our first stop will be the Bocagrande and Castillogrande neighbourhoods, home to some of the city's most upscale areas. As we pass La Bodeguita tourist pier, we will approach the Clock Tower, a historic monument that served as the gateway to the walled city during colonial times. We will continue our ride past the Convention Centre and through the vibrant Getsemaní district.

Next, we'll make our way to the Santa Cruz de La Popa convent, perched at the highest elevation in the city. Here, we will be treated to breathtaking panoramic views of Cartagena while discovering the significance of the port's strategic location.

Then, our exploration will take us to the fortress of San Felipe de Barajas, renowned as the principal defensive structure of its type. Close by, we will view the statue of Blas de Lezo, the famed Spanish admiral who valiantly defended the city from English forces.

As we continue, we will wander through the picturesque squares and cobblestone streets of Cartagena, immersing ourselves in the local history. This will include a view of the city’s charming colonial homes and a visit to Las Bóvedas. You’ll be granted approximately 20 minutes of leisure time to explore shops in this former military storehouse, where you'll discover various craft and antique boutiques as well as a jewellery workshop.

Our tour will proceed with a stroll through the historic centre. We will encounter the Baluarte de Santo Domingo and move through Calle de los Estribos, visiting the plazas of Santo Domingo, Bolivar, and San Pedro Clavel.

The journey will then take us to Plaza de la Aduana, followed by Plaza de los Coches, where you can enjoy views of the Clock Tower once more.

Concluding after approximately 4 hours, we will wrap up our exploration in the historic centre of Cartagena de Indias.

• North Zone: hotel pickup from 8:15 am to 8:25 am (subject to availability) and from 1:15 pm to 1:25 pm
• Marbella and Cabrero: hotel pickup at 1:30 pm
• Bocagrande and Laguito: hotel pickup from 8:40 am to 8:50 am (depending on availability) and from 2:00 pm to 2:20 pm
• Castillogrande: hotel pickup from 2:00 pm to 2:20 pm
