We will start our experience at your preferred time in the Plaza de la Trinidad. From this vibrant heart of Cartagena de Indias, we will stroll to a local favorite ice cream shop, where the secrets of making exquisite paila ice cream will be unveiled.

Upon arrival at this woman-run establishment that emphasizes the use of ecological materials, we will dive into the preparation of the ice creams. Using the traditional paila—a specially designed wide and shallow metal pan—we'll begin our craft.

While we gather and mix the ingredients, you will learn about the fascinating background of paila ice creams. Though their roots lie in Ecuador, they are also a cherished dessert in Pasto, which is the capital city of Nariño in Colombia.

Every batch will be made artisanally from either fruit or milk, incorporating solely natural and organic components. By the end of the workshop, you will enjoy tasting three distinct flavors of paila ice cream, each promising to delight your palate!

The duration of this workshop will be approximately one and a half to two hours. Afterward, we can escort you back to the starting point, or feel free to extend your stay and explore additional ice cream flavors at your leisure.
