Your journey begins with a pickup from your hotel in Cartagena de Indias at the scheduled time. From there, we will proceed directly to the Totumo Volcano, where the highlight will be a soothing dip in the volcano's mud—a truly distinctive experience!
You may wonder what makes this location so remarkable. The Totumo Volcano is renowned for its therapeutic mud, revered by the locals for its health benefits. The mud’s healing properties stem from its rich composition, including water, silica, aluminum, magnesium, sulfur, calcium, iron, and other essential minerals.
Upon entering the crater of the Totumo Volcano, you will immediately perceive the unique texture of its warm, thick mud, which can rejuvenate your skin. It is advisable to limit your stay in the mud to no more than 15 minutes due to its temperature. Following your rejuvenating experience, you'll have the chance to relax in the surrounding Totumo swamp.
Next, savor a delicious local lunch featuring an array of regional dishes. Following your meal, we will travel to La Boquilla for an engaging tour of the Cartagena mangroves, where you will discover the diverse species of flora and fauna that thrive in this extraordinary ecosystem.
Your excursion will then guide you to the Ciénaga de la Virgen, where you will enjoy a canoe ride through the stunning natural mangrove tunnels. As part of this adventure, you will also engage in a traditional fishing activity using the atarraya, followed by a visit to Isla del Pescador to refresh with some invigorating coconut water.
Ultimately, we will make our way back to Cartagena, with an expected arrival at your hotel approximately 8 hours after your pickup.

The tour includes pickup service exclusively from accommodations situated in the Bocagrande and Laguito neighborhoods. For those staying outside these areas, kindly arrange your own transportation to Muelle de Los Pegasos in the historic center of Cartagena de Indias.

On the day of the activity, the local team will pick you up from your hotel in the Bocagrande and Laguito areas. If you're staying outside these areas, please make your own way to Muelle de Los Pegasos, located in the historic center of Cartagena de Indias.
