Excursion to Playa Blanca

At the scheduled time, transportation will be arranged from your hotel or preferred meeting point in Cartagena de Indias towards Baru Island, home to Playa Blanca.

During the journey, engage in a panoramic exploration along the coastline of Cartagena de Indias, taking in the picturesque views of the bay and passing through various coastal neighborhoods.

Upon crossing a bridge inaugurated in 2014, we will arrive at Baru Island. This peninsula is characterized by a wide canal constructed in the 16th century, which has led locals to regard it as an island.

We will journey across Baru until we finally reach Playa Blanca, recognized as one of the island's most stunning destinations. Here, you will enjoy four hours of leisure on the beach, where you can relax on the soft white sand, swim in the turquoise Caribbean Sea, or enjoy pleasant walks along the shore — an idyllic day awaits!

During midday, a traditional lunch featuring coconut rice, patacones, salad, and fried fish or chicken will be served at a local eatery. Following your meal, you’ll have an additional hour to either unwind by the sea or explore Playa Blanca at your own pace.

In the end, our 7 to 8-hour excursion will conclude with our return to the initial meeting point in Cartagena.
