Embark on this excursion to the Rosario Islands departing from Cartagena and immerse yourself in the stunning natural beauty of the Colombian Caribbean, recognized for its transparent waters and abundant marine diversity.

Available Tour Variations

While reserving your spot, you’ll have the opportunity to choose from the following tour variations:

Option Including Isla Cholón

At the designated time, we will pick you up from your accommodation in Cartagena or meet at the prearranged location. Following this, we will travel to the dock and embark on a speedboat for an enjoyable journey across the Bay of Las Ánimas. As we navigate away from the coast, we will set off towards the open waters of the Rosario Islands.

On our way, we will pause briefly to view the outside of the San Fernando Fortress in Bocachica from the boat. Once past this historic site, we will reach Isla Grande, the focal point of the Rosario archipelago, where you will have leisure time to snorkel and encounter the vibrant tropical fish that flourish here.

Subsequently, we will visit Cholón Island, providing you with an hour to relish the lively atmosphere. After this, we will set off for Playa Blanca located on the Barú Peninsula, allowing you another hour to indulge in the azure waters and unwind on the beach. Here, lunch will be served, with options such as fried mojarra (a local fish), grilled chicken, among others, accompanied by rice, salad, and a drink.

Approximately after 8.5 hours, we will head back to Cartagena, concluding our tour at the Bocagrande dock.

Option Excluding Isla Cholón

When making your reservation, you can opt for the variation that does not include a visit to Cholón Island, subject to availability.

This option entails three stops at Isla Grande, Isla Isabela, and Isla Marina, each lasting about 1.5 hours. Lunch will be available at Isla Grande. This choice offers a more tranquil experience compared to the Cholón visit. Following these explorations, we will return to Cartagena after about 7 hours.

Option Excluding Cholón and Including the Oceanarium

This selection involves two scenic stops at Fort Bocachica and the previous Escobar Mansion, both observed from the boat for roughly 5 minutes. Next, we will visit Isla Lizamar to see a small wildlife habitat, where you may choose to enter the Oceanarium (ticket not included).

The journey proceeds to a beach club on Isla Grande, followed by a delightful lunch on Isla Marina. You’ll have the chance to snorkel at various stops, with all necessary equipment provided.

Pickup and Meeting Locations

The pickup point varies based on your chosen option.

• For the tour with Cholón Island (excluding Oceanarium) via boat, the meeting begins at Muelle de La Bodeguita - Gate 1.
• For the tour with Cholón Island (excluding Oceanarium) via speedboat, hotel pickups are available in Bocagrande and El Laguito. If your hotel is in a different region, please meet at Muelle de Los Pegasos, located in the historic center of Cartagena.
• For the tour without Cholón Island and without Oceanarium, the activity starts at the Santander Monument at La Bodeguita Pier – Gate 1.
• For the tour without Cholón and including the Oceanarium, the meeting point is the Santander Monument at La Bodeguita Pier – Gate 1.

It is important to note that for all options, the tour concludes at Marina Todomar.
