Your adventure begins with a convenient hotel pickup. Once all participants are assembled, we will delve into the artistic, historical, and cultural tapestry of Colima and Villa de Álvarez, two interconnected cities that thrive at the feet of a volcano. Let’s embark on this journey!

The initial highlight of our trip will be the historic core of Colima, where colonial arches and façades provide a glimpse into the past. Here, you’ll behold the Hidalgo Theater, a neo-Gothic wonder that has hosted countless artists over the years. Fascinatingly, it was reconstructed following an earthquake yet maintains elements of its original design.

Directly across from the theater lies the Government Palace, showcasing the captivating murals by Jorge Chávez Carrillo, which reflect the resilience and heritage of Colima’s people. Be sure to capture some memories with your camera!

Next, we will visit the central square where the Minor Basilica Cathedral takes center stage. Here, you can appreciate the cathedral’s symmetrical architecture, standing proudly in a plaza that has served as a communal hub for generations. Following this, we'll take a leisurely walk along the Constitución Walkway, a vibrant corridor rich in tradition, where the delightful scent of coffee permeates the air.

Once back in our vehicle, we will pass by Nuñez Garden on our route to Piedra Lisa, a unique stone believed by many to have been ejected by the Colima volcano long ago. Is there a truth in this tale? Also, we will see the Maestra Griselda Álvarez Roundabout, a noteworthy tribute to Mexico’s pioneering female governor.

Soon, we will find ourselves in Villa de Álvarez. Here, we'll visit the main square, marvel at the Parish of San Francisco de Asís, and make a stop at a local ice pop shop to savor a handmade paleta (popsicle) while soaking in the town’s delightful atmosphere.

To conclude our journey, we will choose between Cenaduría Julia or Mercedes restaurant, depending on availability, to relish a traditional local lunch. This serves as a delightful culmination of our outing!

Eventually, we will make our way back to your hotel, wrapping up the experience after a fulfilling 6 hours.
