Itinerary for Alcazar & Jewish Quarter Guided Tour
At the designated time, your journey will commence from the Puerta del Perdón located in the heart of Cordoba, leading you through the stunning pathways of this Andalusian city, recognized as a World Heritage Site.
Your first stop will be near the Puerta de Almodóvar, an entrance integrated into the city's ancient Roman walls. Here, a notable historical figure of Cordoba greets you: Seneca, the renowned Roman philosopher, whose statue can be found in this area of the historic center. Further along the wall, you will encounter another figure, Averroes, the esteemed Arab philosopher.
Crossing over the wall, you will venture into the intricate streets of the Jewish Quarter. In this part of the city, you can admire the statue of the illustrious Jewish philosopher, astronomer, and physician Maimonides.
Following your exploration of the Jewish Quarter, you'll head to the Alcazar de los Reyes Cristianos, also known as the Castle of the Christian Monarchs. During your guided tour, you'll journey back through history and be captivated by the beautiful Moorish gardens. You will also see a sculpture commemorating the historic encounter between Christopher Columbus and Queen Isabella and King Ferdinand at this castle.
Your guided experience will conclude here after approximately 2.5 hours.
Partial Closures
Due to ongoing structural renovations, the Alcázar de los Reyes Cristianos will remain closed until early 2027. In its place, we will explore the Caliphal Baths, with the tour duration adjusted to be 30 minutes shorter. Starting June 16, we will be able to visit the gardens of the Alcázar.

Important information
On the day of the activity, we'll meet you at the designated time at the Puerta del Perdón of the Mosque-Cathedral. Please be at the meeting point 10 minutes before the start of the guided tour.
You'll recognize the guide by the orange umbrella they will be carrying.
