Complete Córdoba Tour + Tickets
Description
This comprehensive tour of Córdoba's historic center will guide you through the city's most renowned landmarks. An expert English-speaking guide will lead you to the Jewish Quarter, the Alcázar, and the Mosque-Cathedral, offering insights along the way.
Tour Overview
The journey begins at the spectacular Córdoba Mosque-Cathedral, the city's most celebrated monument, often likened to Alhambra in Granada. During your exploration of this UNESCO World Heritage Site, designated since 1984, you will uncover its hidden stories and rich heritage.
Next, we’ll wander through the charming, narrow streets of the Jewish Quarter, a historically significant area that served as the heart of the Jewish community from the 10th to the 15th centuries. Our path will take us into the Souk, the local market, where you can experience the vibrant atmosphere.
The tour concludes with a visit to the Alcázar de los Reyes Cristianos, or the Castle of the Christian Monarchs. This magnificent 14th-century fortress was once home to Queen Isabella I of Castile and King Ferdinand II of Aragon. While exploring its beautifully landscaped gardens and courtyards adorned in Mudejar style, you will learn about the significant historical moments that unfolded within its walls.
Alcázar Partial Access
Please be aware that due to ongoing structural renovations, access to the interior of the Alcázar is currently restricted. The tour will, however, include a visit to the gardens, which encompass 75% of the site.
