At the designated meeting point, we'll gather at the Alqueva reservoir and embark on a boat for a memorable journey across this remarkable artificial lake as the sun sets.
Once we set sail, our guide will share fascinating insights regarding this dam, which was completed in 2002. For instance, it holds the title of the largest in Western Europe.
Throughout the cruise, we may observe great bustards, cranes, or black storks, common visitors to this aerial landscape. The guide will recount tales of the village and its customs. Additionally, enjoy the melodies of an Alentejo song during our voyage.
Feeling peckish? Good news, it's time for a delightful snack! Onboard, we will savor a selection of olives, bread, and white wine. If the weather permits, you can also take a refreshing dip in the waters of the Guadiana River prior to sunset.
After an hour and a half of gliding across the lake, we will head back to our departure point, concluding the experience.
Details of the Cruise Boat
The boat accommodates up to 55 passengers, featuring outdoor seating along with covered decks suitable for both summer and winter. There's also a refrigerator onboard for storing your personal beverages.

At the indicated time, we will meet at the Alqueva dam (Barragem de Alqueva, 7860-300 Moura, Portugal). At the port next to the dam wall. Please arrive at the meeting point 10 minutes early in order to avoid delays in the tour.
