Auschwitz-Birkenau Private Day Trip
Description
Planning a journey to Poland inevitably evokes thoughts of a visit to Auschwitz-Birkenau. This tour offers an opportunity to explore the grounds of the most renowned concentration camp globally while uncovering its poignant history.
Private Day Trip to Auschwitz-Birkenau
Your experience begins with a pickup from your Warsaw hotel, followed by a private vehicle ride heading south. After approximately four hours on the road, we will reach the Polish town of O?wi?cim, the site of the Auschwitz-Birkenau concentration camp, where the Nazi regime tragically claimed the lives of over a million individuals.
Upon arrival, a guided tour will take you through the most significant points of the Auschwitz complex. Our first stop will be the prison blocks, where exhibits provide insight into the terrible events that unfolded within these walls.
One of the most critical and harrowing moments of this tour will be the visit to the gas chambers and crematoria, the only structures to remain intact after World War II came to an end.
The tour continues with a visit to Birkenau, referred to as Auschwitz II, which functioned as an extermination camp. Here, you will observe the barracks, latrines, cremation facilities, and the remnants of chambers destroyed by the Nazis in their retreat in 1945.
You'll also witness one of the most iconic sights: the railway tracks that once brought prisoners to this site, unaware of the fateful outcomes that awaited them.
After concluding the visit, you will have some free time to enjoy lunch. Once re-energized, we will make our way back to Warsaw, returning you to your hotel.
Benefits of a Private Tour
Opting for a private tour allows for tailored service, letting you select the day and time that works best for you. Plus, if you're traveling with a larger group, you can enjoy cost savings!

Important
- Due to the large number of visitors, the schedule may be modified. It's important that you have your mobile phone fully operational in case of any changes of this kind.
- The visit to the camp can only take place with qualified guides from the camp and not with external guides. The confirmation of the guide is only guaranteed 12-16 hours before the activity.
- All operators require a minimum group size to be able to access the camp with a guide, so sometimes, if this is not reached, the activity may be cancelled or rescheduled.
- We reserve tickets and secure a guide as soon as the minimum group size is met. However, for last-minute bookings, guide availability cannot be guaranteed, and the activity may be subject to cancellation.
- However, if there is any change in the departure time of the excursion, we'll notify you at least 15-24 hours before the activity.
- According to the rules of Auschwitz, you must take into account that, in case you have to make changes in the reservation (either change of date, time or modify names), only one change can be made per reservation. In the case of name changes, only a maximum of 10% of the names can be changed, i.e. if there are 20 attendees, only 2 names can be changed.
