Itinerary
We will convene at the designated meeting point, Sigismund's Column, to commence our exploration of Warsaw.
As we gather, the majestic Royal Castle will greet us. Once the royal abode of Sigismund III, this architectural marvel stands as a testament to the city's history. Our next stop will be St. John's Cathedral, where we can appreciate the remaining elements of the Mazovian Gothic design. Nearby, the fortified remnants of the historic Barbican will provide insight into the city's defensive past.
Continuing our journey, we'll delve into the life of Marie Curie, born here and renowned for her groundbreaking work in radioactivity. Our exploration will also include a visit to the Warsaw Uprising Monument, commemorating the brave souls who sacrificed their lives during the 1944 uprising.
After a thorough and engaging two-hour historical tour, we will progress towards ?azienki Park, famously known as the Royal Baths Park. Here, we will observe the lavish baths and the elegant Temple of Diana, along with remarkable art pieces like the sculpture honoring composer Fryderyk Chopin.
Our stroll will lead us to the grand ?azienki Palace, a neoclassical wonder erected in the 17th century on an artificial island. The palace's façade, adorned with Ionic columns and mythical-themed balustrades, adds to its allure. As we leisurely walk through the park, we might be accompanied by the local squirrels and peacocks that inhabit this lush environment.
After a delightful four-hour excursion through Warsaw and ?azienki Park, we will conclude our tour at the park's exit.
