Sound & Light Experience at the Château de Blois

Known for being one of the most iconic fortified structures in the Loire Valley, the Château de Blois was recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2000. Its significance stems from being a preferred residence of French royalty during the Renaissance period.

This ticket grants you access to explore the castle with an English audioguide, along with a stunning audiovisual presentation that reveals the nation's history in an engaging manner.

As dusk settles, the château’s exterior will be illuminated with a series of striking visuals set to an evocative soundtrack—an experience that promises to leave a lasting impression!

Following this remarkable 45-minute performance, you're likely to find yourself enchanted by this hallmark of French architecture.

Schedule Information

The Château de Blois welcomes visitors daily from 9 am to 6:30 pm.

For the year 2026, the sound and light show is scheduled from April 4 to September 26, and again from October 17 to 31.

Here are the showtimes for the 2026 season:

• April and September: at 10 pm
• May, June, July, and August: at 10:30 pm, except on June 21 and August 29 when there will be no performances.
• October and November: at 7:15 pm

Be aware that the castle’s operating hours differ from those of the light show, meaning you won't be able to tour the castle between closing time and the commencement of the light show.

The last entry to the castle is allowed 30 minutes before it closes.

By purchasing this ticket, you'll circumvent the typical waiting lines at the Château de Blois' ticket offices. However, do expect to queue for entry into the monument, as security checks may require some time.
