Cooking Class on Santa Cruz Island
Your adventure begins with a pick-up from your accommodation on Santa Cruz Island, followed by a journey to the Galapagos Frontier Reserve.
Upon arrival, you will have the chance to traverse various trails featuring lava tunnels, while also observing the majestic giant Galapagos tortoises. As we explore, we’ll gather fresh fruits and vegetables from local organic gardens, enriching your culinary experience with ingredients sourced directly from nature.
After foraging, we will proceed to the kitchen at the reserve where we will prepare a delightful traditional Galapagos menu. A local chef will be our guide, unveiling the secrets behind these delectable local recipes as we learn the art of crafting a starter, a main dish, and a dessert.
Once our culinary creations are complete, we’ll enjoy a traditional lunch featuring the dishes we've made, guaranteeing a delightful experience for your palate!
After relishing our meal, we will make our way back to your hotel on Santa Cruz Island, completing a satisfying four-hour experience.

Menu 1
- Starter: Galapagos ceviche
- Main course: skewers of land and sea with grilled vegetables, accompanied by aromatic rice and a fresh salad featuring crispy patacones
- Dessert: cassava cake
Menu 2
- Starter: seafood locro
- Main course: fresh tuna wrapped in banana leaves and grilled on volcanic stone, served with golden cassava and a refreshing garden salad
- Dessert: passion fruit mousse
Menu 3
- Starter: llapingacho
- Main course: aromatic chicken cooked with beer and naranjilla sauce, paired with yellow rice, ripe plantain, and avocado
- Dessert: cheesecake paired with coffee
Menu 4
- Starter: Creole chicken broth
- Main course: glazed ribs in pineapple sauce served with green rice and a Creole salad
- Dessert: banana cake with almonds
Each of the above menus includes a michelada and piña colada cocktail. Cheers to a wonderful meal!
