North Seymour Island Tour

During this excursion from Santa Cruz Island, you will explore North Seymour Island, a location teeming with the remarkable wildlife characteristic of the Galapagos Archipelago. This promises to be an extraordinary adventure!

Tour Overview

At the scheduled time, a vehicle will collect you from your accommodation on Santa Cruz Island and transport you to the Itabaca Channel. Here, we will board a ferry bound for Baltra Island.

Upon arrival, we will embark on a 35-minute yacht journey to North Seymour Island. This volcanic isle is home to impressive colonies of frigate birds, gulls, and blue-footed boobies. If it coincides with the breeding season, we may witness their unique courtship behaviors.

Additionally, this region boasts palo santo trees, an ancient species historically utilized by shamans for healing purposes. The diverse landscape includes areas filled with cacti and saltbushes. As we traverse the terrain, be attentive to the ground, as you might spy the endemic Galapagos iguana. On the opposite side of the isle, a multitude of sea lions can also be seen.

Subsequently, we will have a traditional meal either on the beach or onboard the boat, featuring a dish of rice and fish. Refreshed, we will then depart from North Seymour Island, sailing back to the northern shores of Santa Cruz Island. Our disembarkation point will be Las Bachas beach, where you will be granted approximately 40 minutes of free time to snorkel in its inviting waters, where you may encounter sea turtles, starfish, and reef sharks.

Lastly, we will travel by road back to your hotel on Santa Cruz Island, wrapping up this 8-hour journey.
