Tour Overview
Your journey commences at 9 am with a pick-up from your hotel in Chennai. Our first destination is the impressive Kapaleeshwarar Temple, one of the city's most stunning religious sites. This vibrant place, dedicated to the deity Shiva, promises to captivate you with its striking colors.
Next, we will head to Fort Saint George, a significant remnant from the British colonial legacy. Within this historic fortress, we'll explore the museum that chronicles this vital chapter in Indian history. Key exhibits include coins, armaments, vintage uniforms, and correspondence among notable military figures like Generals Robert Clive and Lord Cornwallis.
After a personal lunch break, our exploration continues to the Victoria Memorial Hall. Inside this striking pink sandstone structure, an extensive array of artworks awaits, particularly renowned for its pieces from the Rajput and Moghul artistic traditions.
Our final visit will be to the iconic Cathedral-Basilica of St. Thomas, one of Chennai's principal Catholic churches. Its neo-Gothic style stands in stark contrast to the other architectural styles found nearby.
The tour concludes with your return to the hotel in Chennai at 5 pm.
