Tour Highlights

Our adventure begins at the historic Morabeza Hotel, the first ever built on Sal Island. Once the group is complete, we will commence our journey through Santa Maria.

We will initiate our exploration with a leisurely walk along the lively main street, adorned with vibrant bars, eateries, and quaint shops selling local crafts. Following this, we will make our way to the North zone to discuss the original houses that established the city.

The journey proceeds as we visit the energetic Municipal Market and pause at the Municipal Fountain, a vital source where community members gather water for homes lacking running water.

Subsequently, we will journey back in time at the Salt Museum, revealing the intriguing background of the salt industry from which the island derives its name. To conclude the tour, we will visit the renowned Pontao de Santa María.

After three hours of discovery, engagement, and enjoyment in Santa Maria, we will bid farewell and conclude our tour.
