Tour Overview

Our journey commences at the appointed time in the renowned Zenea Garden, nestled in the vibrant core of Santiago de Querétaro. Here, we’ll set off to explore three exceptional haciendas. Each location features a 40-minute guided tour complemented by 30 minutes of personal exploration. Let the adventure begin!

Our first destination is the historic Hacienda San Gil, located a short 45-minute drive away. This estate has a rich past, having served as a backdrop to significant events involving Miguel Hidalgo and Maximilian of Habsburg. The exterior, influenced by the design of the Sierra Gorda missions, will allow you to step back into the colonial era.

Next, we will visit the Hacienda Galindo, established in 1582 and steeped in legends and tales. Here, you’ll uncover its history as a mill powered by the Galindo River and its crucial role within the local heritage.

Our final destination is Hacienda La Llave, founded in 1535 by Beatriz Andrade de Cervantes. This estate thrived during the colonial period, and we’ll delve into its intriguing narrative, from its inception to its lasting legacy in the 19th century.

As we conclude our exploration of La Llave, we’ll indulge in a traditional three-course lunch at the San Juan del Río restaurant, offering delicious regional dishes such as enchiladas queretanas and gorditas de maíz quebrado.

With satisfied appetites, we will head back to Santiago de Querétaro, wrapping up our journey at the original meeting point after roughly 8 hours of enriching discovery.
