Loch Ness & The Highlands Day Trip
From Glasgow, the Loch Ness tour travels north with a refreshment stop on Loch Lomond. The journey continues over Rannoch Moor and the Black Mount to Glencoe, known for the 1692 MacDonald clan massacre.
After a stop in the Fort William area for lunch, the tour proceeds into the Great Glen, passing beneath Britain's highest mountain, the Caledonian Canal, and the village of Fort Augustus, offering views of Loch Ness.
Loch Ness, 24 miles long and 700 feet deep, is famous for sightings of the Loch Ness Monster, known as Nessie. Guests will have approximately 2 hours to explore Loch Ness, with an optional 5-star 'Loch Ness by Jacobite' cruise available for an additional cost.
The return journey includes passing through Inverness, the Capital of the Highlands, and crossing the Grampian Mountains and Perthshire's woodland scenery, with an evening refreshment stop in Pitlochry before concluding in Glasgow around 7:30 pm.
