Oban, Glencoe and West Highland Castles Tour
Our journey begins at 8:45 am at the specified meeting point in Glasgow. As we venture westward across the Firth of Clyde, keep an eye out for the notable Dumbarton Castle, which boasts the longest continuous history of any fortification in Scotland. Our first destination will be Inveraray, where you have the option to explore Inveraray Castle (additional fee) or wander through the delightful 18th-century town while enjoying breathtaking views of Loch Fyne.
Continuing our route into the Highlands, we will pass picturesque castles and serene lochs. Among them, Kilchurn Castle, perched beside Loch Awe, is renowned as one of Scotland's most photographed landmarks. Be prepared to capture this moment!
Upon reaching Oban, the aptly named Gateway to the Isles, you'll have some leisure time to enjoy lunch in this charming fishing community. Take the opportunity to explore the waterfront and the famous McCaig's Folly. The tour then proceeds past Castle Stalker, situated on Loch Laich, before making our way to Glencoe, a majestic glen known for its breathtaking beauty.
As we head back to Glasgow, marvel at the captivating scenery of Rannoch Moor and the Black Mount, concluding our day with a visit to the village of Luss along the shores of Loch Lomond.
We expect to return to Glasgow by 6:30 pm.
