This journey through the Colombian department of Nariño in the Andean region takes us from Ipiales to Pasto. This charming town is renowned for its vibrant carnival celebrations, local crafts, and its traditional ice cream.

Pasto Tour Overview

The adventure begins at 2 pm as we depart from Santander Park in Ipiales, making our way toward the picturesque Andean town of Pasto, situated in the Colombian department of Nariño.

Upon our arrival in this town, known as Colombia's theological hub, we will embark on a guided tour of Pasto, exploring its prominent Catholic churches. Notable stops will include the Cathedral of the Sacred Heart and the churches of San Juan and La Merced. We will also visit the Plaza de Nariño, which serves as the focal point of the historic center.

Our next destination is the Carnival Museum, where an impressive array of festive costumes and attire from one of the most anticipated celebrations among the 'Pasteños' awaits us. Following this, we will tour a varnish workshop to observe how artisans apply a traditional technique recognized as a Cultural Heritage of Colombia.

After our workshop visit, we will head to a local venue to savor traditional artisan ice cream from Pasto. To conclude our experience, we'll indulge in a delightful hot cup of Nariño coffee.

Finally, we will return from Pasto to our original meeting point in Ipiales, with an estimated arrival time of 10 pm.
