Tour Overview
We'll gather at the Monument to the Victims of the Raid (Monument Spomenik žrtvama racije) at the scheduled time, after which we will traverse the Danube River to arrive at the Petrovaradin Fortress. Here, our adventure will take us into its intriguing tunnels.
This monument's construction commenced in the 18th century and was completed in the early 19th century, serving as a fortified stronghold intended to defend against the Ottoman Empire and other dangers. Consequently, the intricate network of underground tunnels developed into a vital resource for refuge and escape.
As we traverse approximately 1 kilometre (1.6 miles) of these tunnels, we will delve into the battles, secrets, and legends that contributed to the storied past of the Petrovaradin Fortress. Prepare to uncover insights about military tactics, espionage, and survival within this remarkable underground maze.
After about 45 minutes below ground, we will resurface to continue our exploration of the fortress, where we will share intriguing details about its construction and significant historical events it has endured. You will also have the opportunity to admire stunning views of the city, ending your experience on a spectacular note!
In total, our time together will last around 2 hours before we conclude the tour and bid farewell.

Please arrive 15 minutes early.
Please note that in the underground tunnels, temperatures are 10 to 15 degrees all year round, and we recommend bringing warm clothes.
