Rafting on Cangrejal River

Description

Our day begins at 8:30 am with a meeting at the Central Plaza of La Ceiba. From there, we will board a minibus that will transport us to the picturesque Cangrejal River.

After a brief 30-minute drive, we will arrive at the starting point of the river. Here, we'll equip ourselves and set out on an exciting rafting experience! We will navigate the rapids of the Cangrejal River, making our way to the Bejuco trail.

Upon reaching the trail, we will exit the rafts and take a hike to a secluded waterfall. This is an opportunity to recharge with some delicious tropical fruits. Following our break, we'll continue our journey downstream, where the most thrilling segment of the river awaits us. Brace yourself as we tackle the exhilarating level 4 rapids – prepare for some heart-pounding fun!

Once we have successfully navigated the Cangrejal River, we will make our way back to La Ceiba, aiming to return to our starting point around 2 pm.

Rapid Levels

The intensity of the rapids varies with the season. During periods of lower water levels, expect rapids ranging from level 2 to 3; conversely, when water levels are high, the action intensifies with rapids at levels 3 and 4.
