Half-Day Tour
Your adventure begins with a pick-up from your hotel at a time of your choosing. We will embark on a private guided exploration of Sucre, the historic capital of Bolivia.
As we navigate the streets, we will visit the significant House of Liberty, where the nation's first constitution was created. Depending on the museum's hours, we may also explore the Treasury Museum, which houses an impressive array of jewels and precious stone collections.
Our itinerary includes a visit to the Convent of St. Felipe Neri, known for its stunning terraces, and the origins of the city at La Recoleta Church.
From this vantage point, we will enjoy breathtaking panoramic views of the city center, highlighting why Sucre is often referred to as the White City. We will also visit the Museum of Textile Art to gain insight into local handicrafts.
Following an enriching 3-hour exploration of Sucre, we will return you to your hotel to conclude our visit.
Full-Day Tour
If you're eager to delve deeper into Sucre, consider our full-day tour. After picking you up from your hotel, we will head into the old town to uncover the city’s history and intriguing customs.
We will begin at the House of Liberty, where we will reflect on a vital document in Bolivia's history.
Next, we’ll continue to the beautiful Convent of St. Felipe Neri and La Recoleta Church. Notably, this church marks the site where Sucre was established by the Spanish Empire in the 16th century, originally named "La Plata" as Bolivia's first city.
From the viewpoint at the church, you can capture impressive photographs before we continue our journey. To deepen our understanding of Bolivian art and culture, we will visit either the Treasury Museum, the Colonial, Anthropological and Modern Art University Museums, or the Museum of Textile Art.
As the tour comes to a close, we’ll take a moment at Simón Bolívar Park to appreciate the two triumphal arches and the prominent obelisk.
After 6 hours of enriching experiences, we will take you back to your hotel.
