Upon reservation, you have the option to select between two unique experiences. Both packages include hotel pickup in Chaves at 9 am, a knowledgeable English-speaking guide, and a return transfer. Below are the details for each option:

Chaves, Boticas, and Montalegre Tour

Your journey will commence with a pickup from your hotel in Chaves, leading you into the stunning landscape of Trás-os-Montes, specifically to the Alto Tâmega region, where we will visit some of its most delightful villages.

Our first destination is Montalegre, notable for its impressive 13th-century castle perched on a hilltop. We will explore this majestic structure and then proceed to the Montalegre Ecomuseum, where we will delve into the rich history and cultural heritage of the town.

Next, we will head to Boticas, a quaint village nestled in the Alto Tâmega region, known for its charming stone architecture. Here, a visit to the Rural Museum awaits, showcasing traditional agricultural tools and ethnographic artifacts. After this experience, you will have an hour of free time to enjoy lunch and savor some Portuguese cuisine.

Post-lunch, we will make our way back to Chaves, notable for its medieval fortress that bears witness to the historical conflicts between Portugal and Spain. Along the way, we will see the Roman bridge of Trajano and the thermal baths. The tour will conclude with a drop-off at your hotel by 5 pm.

Chaves, Valpaços, and Vila Pouca de Aguiar Tour

This alternative option begins similarly with an introduction to Chaves. From there, we will travel to Vila Pouca de Aguiar, where we will visit the Parque de Pedras Salgadas, a stunning natural forest.

Our next stop will be Valpaços, another remarkable town within Trás-os-Montes, where we will explore the Wine Museum to uncover the region's wine-making traditions. The tour wraps up by returning you to your hotel at 5 pm.
