Tzintzuntzan, Santa Fe de la Laguna, & Pátzcuaro
At the scheduled time, a representative will meet you at your accommodation in Morelia, and together, we will embark on a journey to discover some of the most captivating locations in Michoacán.
Our first destination is Santa Fe de la Laguna. As we stroll through the historic streets, you will encounter local pottery artisans and vibrant traditional attire worn by the women, showcasing the living customs of the indigenous Purhepecha community.
You will have 30 minutes of personal time to enjoy a meal in Santa Fe de la Laguna. Following this break, we will continue our adventure to the Magical Village of Tzintzuntzan. Here, we will explore the archaeological remains of what was once the most significant city of the Purhepecha Empire. Marvel at the yácatas, the ceremonial center, and the ancient temple ruins, including Curicaueri, as we delve into the area's fascinating history.
While in Tzintzuntzan, we will also visit the historic Franciscan Convent of Santa Ana, the elegant plateresque Church of San Francisco de Asis, and the intricately designed baroque Church of La Soledad.
Our final stop will be Pátzcuaro, another Magical Village steeped in over 500 years of history. Wander along its cobblestone streets, absorbing the charm of Baroque and Neo-Classical churches, lively plazas, and traditional adobe and tile homes.
