Tour Overview

At the scheduled time, we will collect you from your hotel and transport you to the Mazatlán Marina. Here, our exciting speedboat adventure begins as we navigate the waves in pursuit of the magnificent humpback whales living in the Gulf of California.

Accompanied by a marine biodiversity expert, our whale-watching journey will aid us in recognizing the various species we encounter. Be attentive as we enter the Pacific waters! Spotting a humpback whale breaching the surface is an unforgettable experience, so be sure to have your camera ready to capture these remarkable moments.

Throughout our expedition, there’s also a chance to see other local wildlife, such as dolphins, turtles, sea lions, and manta rays.

While taking in the breathtaking Mazatlán coastline and its wildlife, you will have the opportunity to participate in real monitoring initiatives, learning to identify the diverse marine life in the region and documenting the behavioral patterns of the whales alongside the research team.

This tour additionally allows you to support local efforts for whale rescue, beach clean-up, and environmental education—an exceptional way to connect with nature!

After our adventure on the water, we will return to the harbor, concluding the activity. Once back on land, we will transport you back to your hotel, completing this experience around three hours later.

Whale Museum

To further your knowledge of these incredible creatures, you will receive tickets to the MUNBA, the Whale Museum. This museum provides an excellent opportunity to learn more about whales, their narrative in the Mexican Pacific, and their role within the marine ecosystem.

The tickets can be utilized at any time during your stay in Mazatlán, and you will receive them at the conclusion of the whale watching excursion.
