El Calafate Balcony ATV Trip
Description
During this exciting ATV excursion to the scenic spots of El Calafate, you'll encounter breathtaking natural attractions such as Argentino Lake, the Stone Labyrinth, and the Stone of the Hats.
Tour Overview
At the designated time, we will pick you up from your accommodation and embark on an adventurous ATV journey through the Huyliche mountain range, leading us to the mesmerizing balconies of El Calafate. As we ascend to an impressive altitude of 1,100 meters above sea level, prepare to be captivated by the stunning panoramas of the Andes Mountains, the Southern Patagonian Ice Field, the vast steppe, and Lake Argentino.
After pausing for memorable photographs at Cerro Huyliche, we will proceed with a brief hike down to the El Calafate Balconies. Here, we will engage in an informative session, delving into the rich geography and geology surrounding Cerro Fitz Roy, Lake Argentino, the magnificent Perito Moreno Glacier, and various other natural marvels found in the area.
Subsequently, we will make our way back down the mountainside in the off-road ATV and visit Estancia Huyliche, a historic cattle ranch established in the 1920s. Here, you will learn about its fascinating history before taking a well-deserved break for lunch or a snack, depending on whether you have chosen the morning or afternoon experience.
The lunch and dinner menus feature delicious options including a meat empanada, beef casserole, chocolate brownie, mineral water, juice, and a glass of Santa Julia Malbec red wine, with a possibility to upgrade to a Premium wine. For the snack, you can enjoy coffee, tea, and juice paired with homemade cake, scones, and pastries. Additionally, gluten-free options are available, such as pumpkin soup, lentil stew, and brownie, along with vegetarian selections that comprise an empanada, vegetable stew, and brownie.
After an enriching 4-hour exploration, we will return to El Calafate, where you will be taken back to your hotel.
